Football boots design taken to the next level

Chris B. Murray, a fine artist and illustrator from the US, has recently taken the design of football boots to an entirely new level.

He was approached by the World Soccer Shop to create a custom, hand-painted version of the Nike CTR-360 Maestri, honoring Landon Donovan’s last march for the US soccer team (Donovan is the team’s all-time leader in goals and assists, and has the most caps of all active players).

In cooperation with the Futbol Artist Network, Chris Murray came up with the following initial sketch:

And here’s how the final, custom-paint version of Chris Murray’s ‘Lando Comando’s’ looks like:

Unfortunately you will never find these boots in the shelves of your sports store around the corner. The ‘Lando Comand’s’ were exclusively designed for a sweepstakes of the online retailer ‘World Soccer Shop’.

Let us know what you think of this boot design!
